That's frustrating but we're here to help! Sometimes, it's just your browser and a cache issue. If you are on your phone, trying opening the password reset link on a desktop or opening it in an icognito window. You can also go to a desktop computer and select the account icon in the top right corner (the center icon with the outline of a person below):
Once you click on that account icon, it'll open a new login window which you can also access here. Note that in this link you are able to resend a login code to yourself or you can simply access your account by your google login as well.
If you are taking these steps, and the prompt continues to open an app page, close that and go to a desktop computer or any device that isn't on your phone. We apologize for the inconvenience as it's likely the link is detecting the app on your phone and wanting to open there, but these pages are not in the app itself.
